What Is Liquid Immersion Cooling?

Liquid Immersion Cooling refers to the heat-reduction process of computer hardware using thermally conductive liquid. Complete submersion is used in data centers and rarely for consumer hardware. The liquid used in this process should be dielectric to avoid damage to components such as the CPU.

Instead of using air, hardware components or full servers are submerged into this liquid, or fans blow to circulate the liquid over heatsinks.
