What Is Declarative Code?

Declarative code is a programming paradigm where the code describes what the software should accomplish, rather than how. It involves defining a set of rules, constraints, or relationships between different components of the program.

Compared to imperative code, which describes the specific steps that the program should take to achieve a goal, declarative code is easier to read, understand, and maintain, especially for complex programs with many moving parts.

Declarative code is often used in functional programming languages and frameworks such as React and Angular, as well as in query languages such as SQL.
